The
essence of the marque: just 20 examples of a design masterpiece
Clearly a Lamborghini, but nothing quite like it. A super car without
equals: The Lamborghini Reventon is
a road vehicle with an extreme specification and, at the same time, a
limited edition masterpiece - a
coherent style, angular with sharp lines, inspired by the very latest
aeronautics and carbon fiber.
With just 20 produced, each Lamborghini Reventon is a symbol of extreme
exclusivity, yet still offering the
extraordinary performance that makes the Murcielago LP640 so unrivaled:
under the completely
autonomous design, the Reventon possesses the entire technical and
dynamic competence of the twelve
cylinder Lamborghini.
Lamborghini prides itself on being the extraordinary manufacturer of
extreme super cars without
compromise. Sensuality and provocation characterizes every Lamborghini,
with an aggressively
innovative style. "However, the Reventon is the most extreme of them
all, a true automotive superlative.
Our designers at the Lamborghini Style Center took the technical base
of the Murcielago LP640 and
compressed and intensified its DNA, its genetic code," affirms Stephan
Winkelmann, chairman and CEO
of Automobili Lamborghini, S.p.A.
Born to become a
legend
Since its foundation, Lamborghini has been a creator of trends in the
world of sports cars and has always
manufactured cars with an absolutely unmistakable character. Models
such as the Miura or Countach, for
example, were veritable forerunners and rapidly acquired the status of
timeless classic cars. From the
moment they are launched, every new Lamborghini promises to become a
legend, destined to become a
sought-after and precious possession.
With the Lamborghini Reventon, Lamborghini has done it again; it has
created an unequaled super car;
the perfect synthesis between the exclusivity and appeal of a limited
edition design masterpiece, and the
dynamism and drivability of a standard sports car. Thus, the
Lamborghini legend is further enhanced by
another, stylish future classic.

1969 Chevrolet COPO Yenko Camaro Automatic!

Don Yenko's 1967 Yenko Camaros were equipped with a
427ci L-72 in them
with either an M21 or M22 transmission. The horsepower was rated at 423
hp (315 kW).
Yenko ordered L-78 equipped SS Camaros and swapped in the Chevrolet
Corvette's L-72 427 in³ (7.0 L) V8. The cars came with a 4.10 rear end
and heavy-duty suspension. The exact number of cars produced in 1967 is
not known; most estimates are around 50. Yenko also installed a
fiberglass replacement hood similar to the "Stinger" hood featured on
1967 big-block Corvettes.
Yenko Camaros were not allowed to race for Chevrolet on the drag strip
because they were not made by Chevrolet. Chevy's answer to this was the
Copo Camaro, or Central Office Production Order, in 1969. The Copo
Camaros were equipped with the same 427ci engine and were allowed to
race for Chevy.
Encouraged by the success of the 1967 model, Yenko continued to produce
his Camaros in 1968. All cars came equipped with the M-21 close-ratio
four speed manual transmission. A large, twin-scooped hood replaced the
"Stinger" version, and Yenko badges graced the sides and tail light
plate. The COPO model came with upgraded suspension, 140 mph speedo and
other items but not the 427 ci engine. Yenko swapped the 396 ci engine
for these up until 1969 when they were installed by Chevrolet. There is
speculation that one 1968 Camaro came from the factory in 1968 with a
427 ci engine making it one of the most valuable collector cars to
exist.
For 1969, the dealership worked out a deal with Chevrolet to have the
L-72 engines installed on the factory assembly line using a Central
Office Production Order, or COPO. The orders included power disc
brakes, a 4.10 Positraction rear end, a stronger front stabilizer, and
a heavy-duty 4-core aluminum radiator. Buyers of the car had the option
of either the M-21 four speed or the Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic
transmission. A total of 201 Yenko COPO Camaros were sold in 1969, 171
with four speed transmissions and 30 with automatic transmissions.
Yenko rounded out the visual package with front and rear spoilers, a
cowl-induction hood, special "Yenko 427" badges, twin stripes down the
flanks and hood, and the sYc (Yenko Super Car) badge.
Almost 40 years later, these Camaros have been appraised and sold for
well over $2.2 million USD at Barrett-Jackson auctions. As of Sept.
2008,
there are 2 known automatic transmission 1969 Yenko Camaro's. as stated
by ESPN auction show.
As of Jan 17th 2009, a REAL ZL-1 COPO, Dark Green, re-bodied, in driver
condition went for $290,000 at the Barret Jackson Auto Auction Lot
12773. Reggie Jackson was bidding on this car but didn't win it.
Another yellow, original body, non original heads with Auto
transmission in rough shape sold for $270,000. Both are said to be a
steal and the deals of the show. Again, neither was
in great condition, both needing restoration to be a show winner.
Our 1969 COPO Yenko Camaro is one of the two known Automatics to exist.
It has been featured in the Yenko Magazine
Click Here and was featured in the chapter on Yenko in the
book by John Hooper "The 1969 Camaro Reference Book from A to Z" Click
Here.
This awesome Muscle Car has a proper good running motor in it now with
the correctly dated "Matching number" motor ( dated Jan. 1969 )
that needs rebuilding out of the car. The original BE rear end has
already been restored.
The car is in good driver condition, show worthy but not a show winner
and would need TLC to become a show winner. The price is firm and must
be paid in cash. No cashier's check, bank checks or wire transfers.

1968
Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS. 8 Cylinder 396 325hp numbers
matching! Loaded with turbo 400 transmission, 12 bolt rear end, posi

she is definitely show worthy.
The beautiful Lemans

the Tic Toc Tach, white houndstooth bucket seats, console with sport
instrumentation, new tires and new exhaust system. We still have some
